Canning Peaches

When we moved into our house in August 2 years ago I told myself that this was the year I was going to try canning. And I did. I canned peaches and spaghetti sauce. I've always wanted to do that. And it was so refreshing to each peaches all winter long that tasted fresh and delicious.

Last year Michael was still pretty little and I justified not canning peaches because I just didn't have time.
I regretted that decision all . winter . long.

So this year, even though it was a low peach season (we had a late frost) and the peaches are a little pricey up the hill. I promised myself I was going to can some. I canned 17 of these jars. Each jar holds about 3-4 peaches.
And they are so delicious.

My kids won't eat regular canned peaches when we have these around (unless its the kids that is smothered in heavy syrup)

It was a lot of work and soooooooo worth it.
And we will savor every. stinking . bite .
