The Best Mom

A friend came to us and showed me a 10 second video clip on his phone of a changing station he had at his house that his daughter wanted Penny to have. "Do you want it?" He asked.
"Are you kidding me? uhm, yes. Penny will be in Heaven."
What I really wanted to say was something my Dad has said for as long as I can remember....
"Is a ten pound robin fat?"

She has done nothing but play with her babies for the last 2 days. Here she is nursing:

Hanging their clothes:
She put them on the hangers all by herself and then exclaimed, "Mom, my babies need more clothes."
Touche Penny, touche.

I didn't get the time to make baby clothes for Christmas for her, but I whipped out a pair of her old soft and cozie pants yesterday and made them into the exact pair for her baby, just smaller. She giggled when I finished them. I can already tell that making more baby clothes will be so rewarding becasue she will instantly love them. So, its on my list of things to do for the next couple of weeks. Just one piece a day or so. I also may be scouring the premie selections on the sale racks at the store.
I love how she hung them.
All babies down for bed. Oh Penny, your mothering skills make my heart melt.
and for now its in a horrible spot in the living room but I can't bear to put it upstairs in her room or I won't be able to see and hear all the cute things she does with them.
