I cut her curls

Penny's hair in the back was getting significantly longer than the sides and I was starting to feel like it was looking a bit mullet-ish (especially when the curls had been frazzled by the daily activities). So, we took the plunge and cut the back the same length as the sides.

She kept saying, "I don't like haircuts mommy." But she wasn't really bothered when I cut it....busy, but not bothered. It was scary to cut them because you can't glue them back on when you are done, but I'm glad I did.

This is how long her hair would be if it was straight. It curls to be about 1/2 that length (just above her t-shirt collar) . She has a lot of curl in her hair.

Here it is all cut and done. The nice thing about curls is, it doesn't have to be a perfect cutting job.
So here's her new curly pixy do. When it is dry it layers a little in the back giving it some curly volume.
I love it.

I don't know what I love more that haircut or the profile showing some super kissy cheeks!

Her hair is soooo curly! It's only going to get better! :o) And by better I mean thicker and more hair thus more curls. Yikes woman! I want to see it from the front as well- you've for two profile shots and not a head on! Come on Katie, blog right! (i jokes, but I would still like to see it from the front!) Love her.

I did the same with Catherine a few weeks ago and it is nice to have a little more even of a hair do. Penny sure does look cute!

This is exactly what I was advised to do with Lucy's hair. She is actually getting a cut today. Looks darling!
