Boudreaux's Butt Paste

If you haven't heard of Butt Paste its amazing. It smells good, doesn't sting and is more natural than Desitin. I used it with Dominic, but he really didn't get many diaper rashes so I never had a true testimony of it till now. Penny has never had a diaper rash but she does get raw/red/irritated skin in the folds of her neck (yes she's a chub chub). I've been doing my dangdest to keep them clean and dry but Sunday at church was distraught to find her neck pink/raw and slightly bleeding. Poor little baby. I conversed with a friend about it (thanks Laurie!) and came home and tried butt paste. Penny's neck is dry and normal now. It only took about 2 hours after the Butt Paste to make a clear difference. Who knew it would have muti-functional uses! Way to go Butt Paste, you're the winner in our books.....lol!!

Paybacks

This is my wonderful husband. Yes, the one who thought it would be soOOOOOOoooooo funny to post the video of my peeling a banana with my feet. He has many talents too ya know. I just haven't gotten many of them on video but this photo proves he is photogenic. I love you Sean!

My wife is going to be so excited to read this...

So, my wife is very talented. She can do just about anything and I think the world deserves to know just how talented she is. She can manipulate her feet like no one I have ever seen. I was always sure she could peel a banana with her feet, and I finally talked her into giving it a shot. The video starts when she's already started in, but you get the idea. Oh yeah, you'll have to hold your computer monitor sideways (I didn't shoot the video). Also notices how she easily switches the banana from one foot to the other. Amazing! (BTW, the deal was if she peeled it then I had to take a bite. Unfortunately we didn't get that on camera.)

This one is for my brother Joe. Get ready for her cheeks!

I can't stand it. Sometimes I just want to eat her. I JUST took this picture and am so tempted to wake her up and kiss on her. MMmmmmmm.......I think I could have 10 more (JUST KIDDING)

She's not tongue tied

Penny is trying to make raspberries and while she never does it in this video (she almost does in the middle) she has figured it out. We just thought that the tongue action was too cute to not share. Also note that we are hiding the camera behind her toys so that she'll perform. She's a little camera shy (not really, she just looks at the camera and does nothing).

I Accidentally Peed in the Garbage Can

So... Dominic comes in the bathroom this morning and says,"Dad, I accidentally peed in the garbage can". That's right. Apparently he "forgot where (he's) supposed to go potty". I told him it was no big deal. Happens to me all the time.

I heart you!

Happy Valentines Day! Penny doesn't so much love tummy time, but its growing on her. I have a picture of Dominic in this exact position. She's getting so big. She is so concentrated in the first one. She was having so much fun (for the whole 30 seconds that she could handle it).
So Dominic and I plastered the inside of Sean's car with paper hearts today. Dominic made a big one to tape onto the stearing wheel that said "we love you Dad" and I made one to go on the back bumper that said "honk at me -mywife and kids wish you a happy valentines day!" Sean enjoyed the surprise and said it "made me smile." I was semi-dissappointed because his car ran out of gas and so he didn't drive it home (whose car runs out of gas anymore these days!!!) I made quiche for dinner and we drank a bottle of bubbly (Martinelli's style). Dominic had water cuz he thinks carbonation is too "spicy."

We hope you had a great Valentines day!

Baby Stages

Yesterday Penny started laughing. It was also the first time we were so unprepared for such an event. The video camera was dead as was the digital camera and we had no more batteries. She was laughing at a goofy noise I was making (not to be repeated outside the confines of my home) and it was amazing! Needless to say I think its time to invest in re-chargeable batteries like the ones my parents had growing up.

As I was making some business calls yesterday Dominic came in and I told him I couldn't be interrupted. He huffed off and was back in two minutes and slapped a note down in front of me. This is how it read: "Can I Wosh Teevee Plees." How can I say no to that. He's getting to be such a good reader and speller (he better for all the homework they assign in kindergarten!"

I've started exercising again and am in a slump. My back burns (with tightness) while I run because of this stupid car-seat I have to carry around all day and its hard to stay motivated. Needless to say I'm enduring it. If anyone wants to do a race this summer let me know, I think I need a goal to work towards. Right now my goal is for my muffin top to shrink.

Zoo!

Grandma was here this weekend and so we went to the Zoo today. Dominic was most interested in the zoo key and would run past the animals looking for the next box to put the key in and listen to a ridiculously cheesy song and somewhat captivating commentary. He got his head stuck in one of the picture cutouts (what do you call those things?) Penny fell asleep in the moby wrap on Sean (my favorite picture). The penguins weren't being exhibited anymore but they had an amazing orangutang exhibit. My next favorite animal there were some teeny tree frogs that were in the reptile building. It was a fun day! Enjoy! Thanks Grandma.

Gordon B. Hinckley, the prophet of my youth

Today was the funeral of Gordon B. Hinckley and I could not help but bawl me eyes out as I watched his casket walk by the quorum of the 12 apostles. It was a great sight and I thought of all the prophets that have gone before. I wondered if the same procession had taken place many many times with each passing of a beloved prophet. I cannot say enough how much I love this man and the example he has been for me throughout my early years. I feel like I have grown up quickly with his passing and needing to stand taller than ever.

Jelly Belly Factory

Yesterday we went to the Jelly Belly Factory which was lots of fun. It is amazing what machines can do so precisely! We had to wear some goofy hats (thank goodness they were adjustable because I was blessed with the HIRT head). Penny's was a little big (lol) but she wore it with pride! Dominic thought we were actually going to be MAKING jelly beans and was a little disappointed when he realized we weren't. We brought home a wipes, booger and pencil shavings jelly bean for Sean to enjoy.
