If stores are going to try to get their consumers to spend money on Christmas, than please go out on a limb and call it what it is, Christmas! Its Christmas dangit! If someone wants to celebrate a holiday season then that's not where I'll be shopping....because they aren't trying to sell to me....the holiday season shopper. I'm a Christmas shopper, shopping for Christmas, which is about Christ and his birth.
Support Toss-mas by supporting the stores that do celebrate Christmas and kindly voice your opinion to those stores who aren't. Let your voice be heard.
As a side-note, my Christmas Cards this year were printed with "Wishing you a happy holiday season".........which I didn't notice until after they were printed. Its my first year sending out Christmas cards and all the details were a little overwhelming. Our hair was done and we all matched okay?...that was a huge plus. There was only one option for the phrase(unless we wanted Spanish, which said Feliz Navidad....interesting right?). I'm going to call them tomorrow and kindly offer my opinion. Ever since I got them I've been fretting on if I even want to send them out because it just doesn't feel right....... I want to wish people a merry Christmas! Should I just be so bold and make an X and then hand write Christmas? It would at least be funny right? Perhaps it might clash with our hair that is done and matching clothes. What to do.......lol. But seriously, any good suggestions?
